Obituary Writing is a necessary and meaningful task that allows loved ones to honor the life of those who have passed away and to share their memories with others.

It requires careful thought and reflection and a deep understanding of the individual’s life experiences and achievements.

Through the art of writing, we create a lasting tribute to deceased loved ones and preserve their legacy for future generations to cherish.

I recognized my ability to comfort friends and family through letters and poems, when I was an early teen. In college, one of my professors invited me to take a Creative Writing class, and it was one of the more fulfilling things that I ever underwent. In the early 2000s, the grandmother of a family of friends passed, and I was solicited to help with the biographical obituary. It was then, that I realized I had this gift. Since then, not only have I created the bio/obit, but have constructed the entire paper program for funerals and memorials. I’m blessed in knowing bereaved families find comfort in services I provide for them, in their time of grief.

Getting Started

To initialize the biographical obituary, one of our counselors will provide a survey to guide the bereaved family through the process of gathering information. We’ve found this to be an effective memory-enhancing tool that greatly aids in expediting the work.
